Danilo (Šibenik)

One of the most significant archeological sites in Croatia is located 17 kilometers from Šibenik, in the village of Danilo Gornje. A complex of Roman villas is located in Šema Torij, whilst remains of buildings and a fortification system dating from the prehistoric era to the middle ages on the site at Gradina have been found. The site on Bitinje answered many questions regarding Neolithics in Dalmatia. The entire Neolithics cultural circle was named Danilo Culture.
