Kutjevo Abbey

Kutjevo Abbey was a Cistercian monastery, located 23 km north-east of Požega. The Cistercians planted the vineyards, which are still cultivated today. The existing building complex was built by the Jesuits in the 18th century on the ruins of the Cistercian monastery. Over time, the abbey changed owners and appearance, but during reconstruction in the 90s has managed to preserve its historical originality.
