The Gate of the village (Pirovac)
The Gate of the village with the remains of the walls from the 16th century. It was built in 1505 by count Petar Draganić as a defense from the Turks. The famous Mihovil Urem, the capatin of Pirovac, was pouring down hot oil from the top of the walls over ottoman conquerers putting them on the run.
