The Sea Organ has become a modern icon of the city – this is a unique architectural miracle recently built in the underwater part of the city quay. The currents of waves and their passage through musical pipes installed beneath the surface of the sea create an amazing sound, the so-called sea music, filling the large space of the seaside promenade.

The singing Adriatic
You'll not believe it untill you've been there... it's really amazing ! I didn't believe such a thing is possible...Nikola Basic had a marvellous idea.
I'm not very sure, but I think it's unique in the world. After your nice walking along the sea, take a break to listen to the music of the sea, every time different... what a soothing effect !

Morske orgulje or sea organ, is the world’s first musical pipe organs that is played by the sea. Simple and elegant steps, carved in white stone, were built on the quayside. Underneath, there are 35 musically tuned tubes with whistle openings on the sidewalk. The movement of the sea pushes air through, and – depending on the size and velocity of the wave – musical chords are played. The waves create random harmonic sounds. Very unique experience.

Incredibly!
The sound pf the sea is a magical music, of the sea water. When I have seen people with their ear on the stone, I couldn't believe to my eyes, but I have did the same! This is unique place, which you must see!

A must hear
On the front at Zadar and completely unexpected. A sea organ has been created that is played by the movement of the waves. The notes change as waves changes and the sound is really magical and haunting. go at sunset and just sit and listen as the sun goes down. Enjoy the moment.
