Belišće

Belišće is located in the Osijek-Baranja County, at the altitude of 93 m. This town of sport on the left bank of the river Drava has produced world class athletes in bowling (Pavica Galošević), canoeing (Matija Ljubek) and chess (Zorica Puljek). People of Belišće are organising the Fišijada, a competitive event for cooking fish paprikash and are always happy to play host to friends and visitors.
Major recreational activities include angling, rowing kayak and canoe on the Drava, the river and its backwaters and hunting in the broader surroundings.
