A nice small town
Daruvar is a nice small town belonging to the region of western Slavonia. Daruvar spreads a beautiful and historically valuable park (about 300 meters across the park). There are many kinds of trees, some rare ones, and all with a general description. In the park are situated some old buildings belonging to the history of the spa. There is another hotel called “Arcadia” (without pools) and a large restaurant “Terasa”. The town is really nice and interesting, with a large central square, several churches and a grandiose castle of the noble family Jankovic, also surrounded by a park. The atmosphere is multicultural, as there are other nationalities besides Croats, the largest group is those of Czechs. There is a large public library in town, housing a rare Golden Bible, being on display at certain times in workdays. The town is surrounded by vineyards and some wineries can be visited. The people are very hospitable. We would surely like to come again (possibly during vegetation season), and we recommend it to all wishing quiet and relaxing holidays.
Beautiful and relaxing town
