Donja Stubica

Donja Stubica is located in the heart of the Croatian Zagorje on the slopes of Medvednica Nature Park, where there are mountain sources of pure, fresh water. Terme Jezerčica, a thermal riviera with a modern wellness centre is located at a natural source of healing water and is in a tranquil setting that offers all that is needed to relax the body and mind. An historic battle took place in the valley’s picturesque landscape in 1573 – a famous peasant revolt led by Matija Gubec. The cultural wealth of the area is visible in several archaeological sites, monuments and noble castles and manors where Stubički Golubovec stands out because of its beautiful horticultural park. The castle has a well preserved and valuable collection of materials in the Kajkavian language.
