Grožnjan
Grožnjan is a small town in the interior of Istria, only 15 kilometres away from the sea, which exudes beauty with its narrow, stone streets and medieval walls. It also offers a magical view of the vineyards, olive groves, forests, and you can see the sea in the distance... Known as the town of artists, it has some 20 galleries and art studios. In the summer the whole town turns into a big stage. The International Film School is held here, as well as classical music concerts, the “Ex tempore” painting event, jazz festivals, exhibitions and other events.

arty and unique
The village was abandoned for many years until it was re-inhabited in the 1960s by a group of artisans. There is a jazz festival in the summer now, that makes it very attractive. The village itself is very picturesque, with some restaurants and shops, but a great view. For me, it was very unique.

adorable and peaceful
Groznjan was beautiful, peaceful and with such an amazing energy!
It's like a fairy tale type of town, so spectacular and wonderful! It is less crowded than Motovun, with galleries and restaurants, old stone streets and beautiful medieval stone houses.
The view was remarkable and the souvenirs hand made and unique. A great place to take a break!
