What can you find only thirty kilometres away from Zagreb? Take a step outside the city and you will soon realise that every moment spent here will be special. You will discover a landscape of rich contrasts: a tame fertile lowland filled with vines, wild and untouched natural surroundings, thick forests and the water of Crna Mlaka. The 750 year history of the area has left many traces in the form of numerous churches, chapels and castles and some of the cultural heritage is today kept in the town museum.

There are a variety of opportunities for recreational activities: paragliding in Japetić and Plešivica, motocross in Mladina, as well as cycling, walking and hiking paths which pass through the wonderful natural surroundings of Žumberak and Samoborsko gorje. We invite you to discover the rural and family farms on the Plešivica wine road, where it is impossible to leave without taking a bottle of good wine with you.
