Lipik

Lipik is a town in western Slavonia, in the Požega-Slavonia County. This town is known for the spa Lipičke toplice, its healing geothermal water and Lipizzaner stud horses. Kursalon, Wandelbahn, swimming pools, the stud farm, hotels, park, villas, fountains and gardens are just some of the sites that Lipik is proud of today. The famous Lipizzaner horses were stolen during the Croatian War of Independence and taken to Novi Sad in Serbia, where they remained hostage until their negotiated return in 2007.
