Medveja

Only 2 kilometres beyond Lovran you will find a place where there only seems to be a large beautiful pebbly beach. However, in the ravine formed by the delta of a stream that flows from the Učka Mountain, a campsite is nestled. Legend says that Medveja got its name after the Greek mythological hero Medea, when she took refuge in this area with Jason. The village is ideal for those who love untouched natural surroundings and peace, and for families with children, who can play here without a care in the world. Guests can find accommodation in private houses, and there are restaurants, shops, opportunities for sport, recreation, diving and frequent entertainment evenings in the buildings on the beach.
