Našice
Našice is a town located near the Krndija mountain, 51 km southwest of regional hub Osijek. The town is famous for its cultural and historical monuments, and its remains from the medieval era. The landmarks you can see there are the castle of the Pejačević family, feudal owners of Našice until 1945, a church of St. Anthony of Padua or other historical monuments.
In Našice's surrounding area you can enjoy the hunting and fishing in this wealthy region, enjoy the natural surroundings or cool down in the Lapovac lake during the summer months. Slavonian cuisine and freshwater fish are a part of the gastronomic offerings of the town and its surroundings.

Disappointing city

1 star is for the potential of the city, because it could be a nice city, and it has been a nice city long time ago. But politicians charge of the city for around 30 years now, destroyed it or continue to destroy it. It's dirty all around the city. many people are rude with foreigners. No real restaurants to eat in, you must drive minimum 40 minutes to get a good meal. Sad city. I don't recommand anybody to make a long trip to visit it. There are much better places to see.

Wonderful small town

Nasice is a very nice town with a "castle" and large beautiful park next to the hotel Park where we stayed. They have a number of festivals throughout the year. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. With the wonderful small town feel, I definitely recommend checking it out.

Croatia has also beautiful continental regions

I was staying in Našice with the group from Zagreb during Martinje (traditional custom of vine baptism during St. Martin) and enjoyed the whole stay. People mostly recognize Croatia for the Adriatic coast but don't know that it also has beautiful continental regions as eastern one Slavonia - Hapsburg monarchy cultural influences, well preserved nature, fabulous cuisine and vines...). The whole 3 day trip was well organised by only travel agency specialized for destination Slavonia.
