Nedelišće is a suburban village in Međimurje County, located just outside the county seat, Čakovec, around 3 kilometres from the city centre. Despite not being designated as either a city or a town, the village of Nedelišće was the second most populated place in Međimurje County in the 2001 census. The region of Međimurje, often known as the region between two waters, the Croatian bloom or the island between the Mura and Drava, is the centre for fairs and was the site of the first Croatian publishing house in the 17th century. On the road connecting Čakovec and Varaždin, between the mottled forests and vineyard hills, hunting grounds and fisheries, Nedelišće lies on the richest source of drinking water in North-West Croatia, with valuable cultural historical sites.
