Novi Vinodolski, often also called Novi, is a town on the Adriatic Sea coast in Croatia. The soul of the town of Novi Vinodolski is visible in its cultural inheritance: Frankopan castle with its tower, cathedral, the chapel of St. Trinity and St. Marinus on an island with the same name, the house of the Mažuranić brothers, the nucleus of the old town and its preserved authentic folklore inheritance. The Vinodolski Code from 1288, a significant legal document, is an important monument to Croatian common law. If you find yourself in the vicinity, do not miss Ružica of Vinodol, a traditional festival that is founded on the template of records and legends about the traditions of the people of Vinodol during the grape harvest. After the harvest, the most beautiful and most hard working girl Ružica heads a procession to the town with a crown of vine leaves on her head, accompanied by songs and music.
And if you want to enjoy the panoramic view, then it is sufficient to walk to the viewpoints in the Vinodolski hinterland that offer a magnificent view of the sea and mountains. Novi Vinodolski 2.5 kilometre long riviera includes the beautiful coastal towns of Povile Klenovica, Smokvica and Sibinj. The beaches, sea and the flow of mountain air from the forests in the nearby hinterland, the well-tended bike paths and walkways and excellent gastronomic offer makes a Novi Vinodolski real paradise for every guest.

Worth a look
Novi Vinodolski is worth a look. Not as much on offer in terms of nightlife and all the beaches have a rocky terrain but if your budget's tight and your after peace and tranquil surrounds, these places are hard to surpass. Once you are in Novi Vinodolski, you cannot miss the Castle of the Frankopans Remains. Walk around the church and enjoy the magnificent view from up there.

A nice place for a short holiday
The town is built on a small hill and is really pitoresque to watch the sea from narow streets with beautifull old houses. There are many places to eat or drink, shop or just have a quite walk. I really enjoyed this place. The sea is as everywhere in Croatia - Novi Vinodolski faced Krk island, so there is no broad perspective over the water.
