Podstrana

Podstrana is a municipality and settlement in Croatia in the Split-Dalmatia County. The settlement is housed in a fairly rural landscape considering its proximity to the nearby city of Split. Peach growing has been replaced by tourism which is now the dominant sector for the population. Tourists are offered various recreational activities in the natural surroundings: walking, hiking and cycling routes, a stay in the Stara Podstrana, a visit to cultural and historical sites, as well as all types of water sports.
