Poreč
Poreč is a town located in the heart of the western coast of Istria. A town of culture, tourism, sport and leisure, where the aromas and colours of past times form a mosaic of unforgettable experiences. Traces of the past are preserved in the old part. The stone streets, the remains of ancient temples, forums and other beautiful buildings preserved from ancient times testify to the many rulers. The Euphrasian basilica from the 6th century is the most valuable cultural and historical monument in Istria, and on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Today Poreč is an attractive tourist destination that pays great attention to tidiness, offers various events, accommodation facilities and activities. It also offers a diverse range of sports, from tennis, beach volley ball, soccer, horse riding, biking, hiking and other water sports that will enhance the holiday of any visitor.

Diamond in Istria

Porec is like a diamond in Istria peninsula. The old town with its main street, plazas, architecture is hard to find in other parts of Europe. The old town has been preserved successfully and it is outstanding place for those who like cultural and architectural environments. Among the plazas Trg Marafor is particularly worths mentioning. You can find 24 hours open bars. Nearby beaches and the island across old town are a great place for swimming..

Charming

It is very small, in 2 hours you can visit all the streets and waterfront promenade. For me, Porec was a pleasant surprise. The Euphrasius Basilica is gorgeous. The main street, Decumanus, has huge, shiny, marble like cobblestones which along with the closely packed, characterful, old buildings and the bustling colourful shops give the place a great atmosphere although it can get very crowded. Also, many good restaurants can be found here. Porec feels very safe and people are nice to tourists. Worth a visit!

Wonderful town!

Wonderful town. Very compact, lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. Great atmosphere. Sometimes crowded. Fantastic cobbled streets, a lot of yachts along the beach of the Adriatic Sea. The Old Town has many historical sights and beauties.Must see!!
