Prelog

Due to its tidiness and already traditional annual Flower Fair event, this beautiful Međimurje town on the banks of the river Drava has been called the city of flowers. Every year the inhabitants of Prelog compete to see whose garden, yard, balcony, shop or catering facility will be the best and most well arranged. Prelog is a town of entertainment and sports. Each year the nautical club organizes a two-day event, "Summer on the Drava River," and there is also cycling, speedway racing, and the fishermen are coming into their own. In addition to the Drava river and its backwaters, right beside the town there is the lake of the Dubrava Hydroelectric Power Plant which also satisfies the sporting and recreational appetites of nature lovers and those who enjoy a healthy lifestyle.
