Punat
Punat is the nautical and tourist centre of the island of Krk. Located in the bay of Punat, and offering natural protection from the harshness of the open sea, it is a paradise for surfers and sailors, with the largest and well equipped marina in this part of the Adriatic. The architecture of the stone houses and narrow streets make Punat a typical coastal village and it is surrounded by fertile olive groves, vines and a lovely swimming area. The olive oil from Punat is of very high quality, confirmed by the tourist-gastronomic event Days of Olives, where visitors can enjoy the top quality tastes of pristine nature. A little gem sits in the heart of the bay of Punat– the wonderful little island of Košljun, with a Franciscan monastery and a church with a library, ethnographic museum and collection of sacral arts. The rich tourist offer, which includes excellent accommodation and a whole series of cultural, entertainment and sports and recreational facilities, places Punat at the top of the tourist offer.

Not a great location
Punat itself is not a great location. If we come to Krk again we'll probably stay at Baska, which is a lovely old town. The sea, however was warm and crystal clear.

Marvelous
We are happy that we decided to come to Punat. People are kind and the island is great and most of all very quiet and beautiful. Punat itself is famous for its marina, and yet you will find nice beaches around. We have also visited island of Rab by boat daily tour and went to islands of Cres and Losinj. Absolutely marvelous experience.
