It's hard to give a rate to this city. It could be a full 5 stars city, but cehok alone ruined it. Its disgusting, full of garbages all around (old town is fine). Thousands of plastic rolls in decomposition with big forsaken ugly building when you come from one side. The other side is stinky as hell because of the non well managed garbages company and the fake lake made in cehok. And the two other sides are industrial zones... To resume. If you pass around, you must visit to old town of varaždin. This is 5 stars. Just don't waste time outside the center, it's only 1 star then.
Interesting town
Interesting town. The main square is big and has beautiful renaissance buildings which holds cafes, boutiques etc. When in Varaždin, visit The Old Castle. It is lovely, well preserved not to big and interesting to visit.
Replete with history
Varazdin, the once capital of Croatia, is a charming little town, replete with historical sites, nesteled in very quaint environment. We had the opportunity to be educated on the innards of this town and its historical significances by our lovely tour guide.
Lovely quaint place
Varazdin was, at some point in past, capital of Croatia and the main square in Baroque style still shows wealth and glamour of that past. Old buildings are well preserved and mayors office dominates the square. A lovely place to have coffee.
Beautiful old town with a village appeal
Varazdin is a beautiful old town with a "village" appeal, the town centre itself is located close to the train station and the town is not too large Being from Australia, to me, Varazdin resembled a picture from a storybook. Varazdin is wonderful city which has amazing places and wonderful churches. The old castle is a must to visit!
