Virovitica is a Slavonian town near the Hungarian border, it is situated near the river Drava and low mountain Bilogora. It’s rich and long history is painted by the monumental heritage and archaeological sites. Baroque-classicist palace of the Pejačević family dominates the centre of the town. The palace is surrounded by a park and the church of St. Rocco.
The slopes of Bilogora that reach down to the tip of the Drava river are suitable for day trips and active holidays, especially for hunting. Virovitica also has fish ponds - a complex of 12 lakes, of which 9 are fish ponds, a great place for fishermens and all nature lovers.
