Sole Fish Days
If you are staying here in the autumn, take the opportunity to taste a wide variety of dishes based on sole fish. This is a high-quality white fish, locally referred to as 'švoj' hence the name of the event. Year after year, Sole days have become one of the symbols of north-western Istria. For the whole month, Sole Fish Days take place at restaurants and taverns in Umag, Novigrad, Buje and Brtonigla and on that those days, offer menus with a minimum of four courses based on sole fish, and along with it, they serve local quality wines and olive oils.
