Morčić is Croatian indigenous folk jewelry and one of the most recognized symbols of Rijeka, Kvarner and the Croatian coast. In addition to its aesthetic and decorative purposes, this jewelry was also a visible sign of identity, the label affiliation of Rijeka, Kvarner and coastal areas in general.
Morčić was made primarily as earrings, but also as pendants, brooches, pins or rings, in many versions, from cheap small head enameled black and white enamel, to expensive items which are decorated with jewels, corals and other species enamels.
