Orahnjača (orehnjača) is a traditional sweet dish in Croatia. It is a pastry consisting of a sweet yeast dough (usually using milk) that is rolled out very thin, spread with a nut paste made from ground nuts and a sweetener like honey or sugar with lemon peel, cinnamon and rum, then rolled up into a log shape. It is usually preparing on Christmas Eve, Easter, weddings and other special occasions.
